Chapter 14 (Second Half)







  • Ayuba Suleiman Diallo was a Muslim african he would help his father turn in slaves to Europeans for trade but they came into a disagreement and he found somebody else to trade for some cows but when him and his company was resting they was captured , they hair was shave and was shipped to Maryland with other slaves . We went to jai for being a runaway . A lawyer saw that he wasn't just any slave so the philanthropist brought is freedom . When got home he found out that his father died but his wives and children was there with welcome arms and he went back to being a slave owner . 
  • I don't understand how a man can go back to being a slave owner after experience being a slave and going though things being beating , hard labor , and being treated like a animal and just thought of as marketing produce and not humans .

Christianity where first spread to Asians, Africans, and Native Americans then modern scientific outlook which challenged Western Christianity The Christian world was divided between the Roman Catholics of Western and Central Europe And the Eastern Orthodox of Eastern Europe and Russia  Luther came to a new understanding of Salivation: he believed that faith came alone , faith was a free gift of god  The Scientific Revolution was a revolution because it changed the understanding of the universe Nicolaus Copernicus argument was the "at the middle of all things lies the sun" and that the earth like the other planets revolved around it . The earth was no longer unique or the center of God's attention

Chapter 16 (Echoes through end)

 In 1780-1890 Slavery was abolition ,Enlightenment thinkers in eighteenth-century Europe had increasingly critical of slavery as a violation of the natural rights of every person .Slavery in this view was out of date, unnecessary in the new era of industrial technology and capitalism. The successful Haitian Revolution was followed by three major rebellions in the British West Indies. The Atlantic revolutions also gave new prominence to a relatively recent kind of hum community . By the end of the 20th century , the idea that humankind was divided into separate nations, each with distinct culture and territory and deserving and independent political life.  Atlantic revolution lay in the emergence of a feminist movement . European Enlightenment had challenged traditions, including women's intrinsic inferiority .
